Insurance, sanitisation, deposit holds and swap policies — the four questions that separate a good vault from a risky one.

Renting bridal polki instead of buying can save a significant amount of money, but the contracts vary wildly between vendors, and the questions that matter rarely make it into the marketing copy.
First: insurance. Ask exactly what's covered if a stone comes loose or a piece is damaged during the event, and whether that coverage is included in the rental fee or charged separately.
Second: sanitisation. Reputable vaults sanitise every piece between rentals — ask what the process actually is, not just whether it happens.
Third: the deposit. Understand exactly how much is held, when it's released, and what counts as "damage" versus normal wear. Get this in writing before the piece leaves the vault.
Fourth: swap policy. If a piece doesn't match your outfit on the day, can you exchange it same-day, and is there a fee? The good vaults say yes without hesitation.
